As
you may have already read, much research has gone into the forming
of this virtual airline based on the Northwest, KLM, Continental,
Alaska and Mesaba formats including contact with executives to
obtain permission to use the Northwest Airlines©, KLM Royal
Dutch Airlines©, Continental Airlines©, Mesaba Aviation©
and Alaska Airlines© names and logos. Ed Augustine created
the idea of a virtual airline based on the Northwest theme in
late 1995 and after much work was finally able to officially start
Northwest Virtual Airlines et al on April 1, 1997.
We
are in no way affiliated with Northwest Airlines© nor can
we obtain any discounts for our virtual pilots. We are simply
fans of Northwest Airlines© and its aircraft. This virtual
airline is operated by aviation buffs and simulator enthusiasts
and Northwest Airlines© has no financial or other interest
in this venture.
